Finding myself on a 7:00am train up to London, I headed for the Tommy Hilfiger design space on Regent Street where I’d be styling two looks combining Tommy Hilfiger and ASOS pieces with two other bloggers.
Weary eyed and still in the slow process of waking up I managed to pull two looks together which I felt encapsulated what I like to wear and how I like to put things together (whilst having my fair share of coffee, Fiji water and morning doughnuts).
One made use of playing around with layering. I started basic with a Tommy Hilfiger plain t-shirt, then paired with a dark blue denim jacket which was ultra soft and thin, only to be finished off with an ASOS overcoat that I’d previously been rooting for as part of the ASOS #TheCoatVote campaign. This came together with some slim fit Hilfiger denim and Adidas Superstars.
My second outfit had a little less going on, but still cold weather appropriate. With an olive green cable knit from ASOS and then some navy Hilfiger chinos it’s the perfect student style look; easy to wear and effortless. Of the two outfits I styled, something I didn’t think I’d tried wearing before are statement trainers. Tommy Hilfiger managed to find me these camo print trainers that I thought added a nice bit of print, whilst not producing too much of an eye catching factor, balancing out with my jumper.
Tommy Hilfiger is one of those brands that has somehow just eluded me. I’ve never been against the things they make and after being on the shoot, I have no idea why I haven’t already. Well-cut clothing, good denim pieces and offers something for everyone.
With my looks organised, it was cool to be able to spend some time with the other guys, Robin and Dena who seemed much more comfortable with this photoshoot thing than me – I’m slowing learning – and the ASOS gang of course. The underground space was pretty damn cool, with loads of American themed props that you may of seen on my Instagram.
For the shoot we headed outdoors as it was a pretty nice day around Carnaby Street and Regent Street. I think I’m slowly getting used to people staring whilst shooting in the street, but going from Bournemouth to being photographed in London is a little different. I had a blast with Miles the photographer and we managed to get some cool snaps together in record time, so quick in fact that we even squeezed in an Honest burger for lunch.
Thank you Tommy Hilfiger and ASOS for looking after me for the day and letting me try my hand at styling. I could get used to this breakfast spread, clothing rail and cool spaces life.
