Kingly Court
Tucked away off of Carnaby Street is Kingly Court. For anyone who isn’t from London and doesn’t know the Carnaby area well, Kingly Court honestly would be quite easy to miss, however it is surprising about what lies hidden away.
Located opposite Benefit, if you walk under the Kingly Court sign, you’ll find 18 independent and specialist restaurants spread out amongst three floors. First thoughts for me, was how an area so big sits behind Carnaby Street. The court has been transformed into the food quarter of stylish Carnaby. What I love the most about this place is every restaurant from an aesthetic point of view – and I’m sure taste as well, but I can’t comment without making assumptions – is completely different. Each restaurant has its own character and colour, but all come together nicely under the Kingly Court umbrella.
From Italian, English, Greek, Indian and even Peruvian, offered by restaurant Senor Ceviche (which is where I went for lunch, see review tomorrow!) to name a few, there really is something for every personal taste and I can imagine, leaving you standing in the middle of the courtyard with the predicament of “Where do I go?” As a mission to myself, I may try and visit each one, although it may take quite a few trips into London. Has anybody else took a trip to Kingly Court?
