Twelve Months Later
Somehow it's already been a year since I started the blog. Here's what I have in mind for the next twelve months...
Let’s be honest, a year isn’t a really long time at all. A year at university. Twelve months at work. Being in a relationship for a whole year. It may sound like a long time, but when you look back on things, it all goes far too fast for my liking. Today it’s been twelve whole months since I started this blog! 365 days. And it doesn’t feel no longer than a couple months, it's pretty crazy. I don’t know where you should be in a year and what your readership should be like or the things you should be doing, but I’m just glad I managed to keep it going, and surprisingly, people continue to read it.
Starting out I didn’t quite know how it would go, how much I’d enjoy it and what I should expect when it came to being a ‘blogger’. I don’t know what I like most to be honest, I think it’s a little bit of everything: sharing my personal style and imparting advice (if you can call it that), getting to do a little bit of travelling, being able to partner with some of my favourite brands, something I definitely didn’t think I’d have the chance to do and also meeting some really like-minded people along the way. It’s great to share ideas, meet up and have the occasional drink.
This post is really just a chance to thank those that have clicked on my blog once, twice or even more! It’s really humbling when people message me saying that
This post is really just a chance to thank those that have clicked on my blog once, twice or even more! It’s really humbling when people message me saying that they read the blog and ask questions, whether that be old school friends or just readers who get in touch. The fact that more guys care about fashion now is a good thing, so much so that they even get in touch to ask me a question about it. Year on year it’s becoming more acceptable for us men to involve ourselves in fashion and I think it’s things such as blogging and social media that allows us to do so.
I’m going into my last year at Bournemouth University this month, another thing that’s gone by incredibly quick and I’ve told myself to slow things down a little. For the past two years I’ve always valued the things I do outside of university more than the degree (which I still do) but with it being third year, meaning it's dreaded dissertation year, I feel I should pay a little more attention to that. That’s not to say I won’t be keeping this going, I enjoy it way too much, but if it’s one post a week rather than two sometimes, you know why.
So thank you for reading my blog and I hope you’re having/had an ace day! Here’s to the next twelve quick months. If you feel like the blog could be improved in someway, which I'm sure it can be, then feel free to leave a comment below! Cheers guys.
