BBQ, Beach and Affligem Beer
Using my evening to go down the beach, have a barbecue and try some new Affligem beers
A blog post about beer, it can’t get much better than this for a male blogger. Premium beer brand Affligem sent me a selection of beers to sample as they have partnered up with designer Patrick Grant. He's made a bespoke suit that resembles the heritage of Affligem and the traditional knight’s uniform, whilst at the same time making it fit for the modern-day Savile Row.
The beers gave me an excuse to take a trip down to the beach with my housemates and have a barbecue in the evening. I luckily got sent three beers by Affligem to try, the first being a blonde (6.8%) which is a normal ale; clear on the eye and really smooth. The double (6.8%) had a more richer taste to it that was darker and had a nice spice taste to it.
Then the triple (9%) - the strongest of the Affligem range was dry with a surprising sweet element to it.
Sometimes I forget that I live by the beach and it was the first time to spend some time together as a whole house. I find it such a good place to go and forget about work things. University started today for me yesterday and I can see myself heading to the beach a lot this year when I want to forget about work.
Could 2023 be the ultimate year of sustainability for fashion? Probably not, but there are some positive things happening if you look for them.
