Liquor Store Street Heritage

Liquor Store Street Heritage

If you’re ever visited Birmingham before, you may have seen inside The Great Western Arcade a shop called Liquor Store.

Inside Liquor Store you can find brands like Norse Projects, A.P.C and Palace, to less recognised and emerging labels in streetwear, and now even tailored brands like Oliver Spencer. The unit is a cool store that you may have missed and wished you hadn’t.

Liquor Store asked me to choose one of their items from the store that I could work into what they call a ‘street heritage’ look, which effectively is what their store does, bringing together brands of both a street and heritage nature. I’m not too sure if my style is more street or heritage orientated, but I chose this black Elka Jacket to style up.

I know we’re nearing June, but this jacket is pretty lightweight and fits really nicely and has saved me a few times from the rain. To create a street heritage

look, I wore some patterned trousers from Topman. I felt if I went for a pair of black skinny jeans and trainers, which is often my normal choice, the outfit would be quite predominantly streetwear based, so by adding in some lighter colours and patterns, it balanced the black jacket quite nicely.

Then I chose a simple grey longsleeve from All Saints to go underneath the jacket and some suede black slip-ons which are an easy shoe to wear and will pretty much go with anything.

It’s nice to try different things with your style from time to time and I think this outfit that I’ve ended up putting together with the help from Liquor Store is a nice alternative and is actually quite versatile for this spring summer transition we seem to be going through.
