Stripey Tees and Ripped Jeans
East London, and more specifically, Spitalfields, is where you can find some of the most amazing houses
Wandering around East London, there were only so many good buildings I could walk past before taking some quick photos. We, being myself and Lauren, found a really cool row of houses on Princeton Street, but sadly we could only stand in front of one house. That last line sounds like a really cliché game show phrase.
Pretty much something everyone says when recommending what should be in your wardrobe, is a stripey t-shirt. And they are right! For someone like me whose style doesn’t really stray away from basic tees, a stripey t-shirt is a nice alternative. They are effortless and allow a subtle addition of colour. This one is from Selected Homme and has thin stripe detailing in a really dark navy, almost black.
Ripped denim is still going strong and if you’re not a DIY person like me then you can pick up some ripped jeans from every high street store, with this particular pair coming from Topman. There’s some serious fraying and distressing going on. Bringing this altogether are my Adidas Superstars, which I’ve still managed to keep relatively clean. Reach for your stripey tee, when you wake up feeling like your basics are too basic for you.
Could 2023 be the ultimate year of sustainability for fashion? Probably not, but there are some positive things happening if you look for them.
