Keeping things simple
I’m most comfortable when I’m wearing things that are simple and easy. This is pretty much what I’ll wear everyday with a couple of additions – one coming from my surprisingly stylish grandad.
My basics H&M tee never lets me down and I’ll always go into H&M to pick up my white, black and grey t-shirts. They just go with everything and that's why it's easy to keep things simple. I have a worryingly growing pile of denim at the minute, yet these are finding themselves towards the top. Quality denim is something everyone should invest in, yes go into Topman for most of your jeans, but it’s always nice to have a pair that you can rely on, and mine our these Levi’s 510s that sit below the waist and have a skinny leg fit from Debenhams. I know these will still be in my wardrobe long after my Topman denim decides to fade.

I have managed on occasion to get myself a good vintage find, but this one was found a little closer to home, tucked away in my grandad’s living room. He said he used to keep his bowls stuff in it, but now I think it’ll make for a good day bag, most recently taking it to London the other week when I met with Cambridge Satchel, and it even got a compliment from those guys, so well done grandad, you’ve got style!
Could 2023 be the ultimate year of sustainability for fashion? Probably not, but there are some positive things happening if you look for them.
