The Exchange Bar and my Clarks
Sometimes it’s nice to find a new space to go and work in and this time I had a pair of shoes to take me there from Clarks Originals.

I found a pretty quiet spot in Leicester called The Exchange Bar to get working one afternoon and it also made for quite a cool place to take some photos. It had that Pinterest vibe going for it, something that goes down well with all bloggers, but sorry, there was no marble or copper.
On my feet were the Clarks Desert London shoes that sit just below the ankle. Clarks Originals have always been a trusted brand in my mind that makes quality footwear and these are a great pair to highlight that.
I remember when I got my first pair of school shoes from Clarks and it’s where I’d get my feet measured. So I can honestly say that this brand is the only brand that I’m probably still wearing now that I used to own as a kid. You can wear these with either trousers or jeans, with the suede material offering up both formal and casual options.
Recently, I’ve been enjoying wearing denim jackets and this one I think is going to remain one of my personal favourites.
Recently, I’ve been enjoying wearing denim jackets and this one I think is going to remain one of my personal favourites. It’s a patchwork denim jacket from my friend’s over at Levi’s. I was lucky enough to be invited over to their showroom a few weeks back to pick a couple bits from the new A/W collection and this jacket was one of them. I find myself going for staples and basics in a wardrobe, but the added patchwork detailing on the jacket made it.
As of yet I’ve not been brave enough to wear double denim of the same wash, so I chose my Topman skinny jeans. A good fit and a reasonable price so I’m happy. Then a trusted basics t-shirt from All Saints meant I was relying on the jacket for the details of my outfit that day.
After a few photos with Natalie it was back to work and it was nice to find a new place in Leicester when I thought I knew everything there was to know about my city. Where do you find yourself going to work?
Could 2023 be the ultimate year of sustainability for fashion? Probably not, but there are some positive things happening if you look for them.
