My Autumn Jacket
Autumn doesn't just mean jumpers and coats. Let's talk suede.
Autumn is the time for dusting down the overcoat and layering up with your jumpers, however this year there’s another jacket I’ll be wearing when autumn brings those rare warmer days on occasion.
Impromptu vintage shopping in Brick Lane allowed me to find a suede jacket for a fraction of the high street price. I think we’ll be seeing a lot more suede around and in a shade like mine, goes very well with blue denim. Tones such as brown, greens and then this sand t-shirt from All Saints are a few colours that are nice shades to be working with and dare I say, autumnal colours? This All Saints merino t-shirt is a strong basic and one of real quality, I’ve always been a fan of All Saints and they always produce good collections.
Perhaps a pair of jeans that isn’t the best when the weather goes cold, ripped denim can still be brought into autumn when you’re feeling brave. And to be honest, it would be pretty wasteful to have only worn your ripped denim jeans in just the spring and summer.
And the oldest pair of trainers in my current collection are my Reebok classics. They may have lost their shape a little, but I still really like the old school style and gum sole they have. Gents, have you managed to find a suede jacket for the autumn?
Could 2023 be the ultimate year of sustainability for fashion? Probably not, but there are some positive things happening if you look for them.
